Birch December 24 - January 20

A quiet reflecting pool speaks to the heart.

Spend time this month in quiet reflection. It is essential that you calm your mind, your spirit and your body. From within this calm will come clarity of the heart.

Rowan January 21 - February 17

A holy man recites sacred poetry to himself.

Poetry, the music of the soul is your key this month. Elliot, Auden, Slessor. It matters not. Dive into your favourite poetry for it is the key that unlocks your heart and mind this month.

Ash February 18 - March 17

A waxing moon reveals abundance in plenty.

Check a moon calendar this month for the waxing phases. Click Here Use the calendar to prepare for your abundance. Let go during the waning and accept during the waxing.

Alder March 18 - April 14

The garden grows without the gardener's attention.

Gardens do grow without a gardener's attention but they tend towards imbalance over time. You are being a given a month to leave the gardening. All will be well.

Willow April 15 - May 12

A field of turnips feeds stock over winter.

Stored in the Earth, kept through the depths of snow and frosts, sustenance awaits its call to action. What you need to know is growing in the Earth. Touch it, listen to it, learn from it.

Hawthorn May 13 - June 9

A time of mourning, a time of love.

Mourning is as much about what might have been as what was and is no longer. Leave the might have beens for they are about to be the "are nows". Mourn, then prepare for love.

Oak June 10 - July 7

Dancing released demons and demi-gods.

What dancing and when? The released demons and demi-gods arriving this month are a result of past actions and thoughts. They can be positive. Look at your demons and they will melt away, see the demi-god that you are.

Holly July 8 - August 4

Daytime for working, night time for enchantments.

Use your time this month to focus on what needs to be done. Focus and finish the day's tasks and you will be freed to enjoy the enchantments of meditation, ritual and sleep. A month divided but one of ultimate unity.

Hazel August 5 - September 1

A woodcutter's cottage high in the mountains.

Secure, high and occasionally snow bound, the woodcutter earns his living in harmony with the rhythm of the seasons. He provides the fuel for others yet remains within a simple life. This is the clue to your month. A month of backroom, service orientated energy giving for others. 

Bramble September 2 - September 29

A magickal mirror reveals the past.

Now is the time to seek your roots. The magickal mirror is held within your own consciousness. Meditation is the key that unlocks this mirror's potential. Find it within and the true cause nof current conditions becomes obvious.

Ivy September 30 - October 27

A fresh loaf sits by the hearth.

A loaf, nourishment, wisdom, understanding sits before the hearth that is the motive force of your life. Spend this month smelling its aroma, drinking in its knowledge. This is a loaf you have baked and are now ready to eat.

Reed October 28 - November 24

A new moon cleanses the home.

Our dear friend, mentor, mother and destroyer, the moon is sending you the necessary energy to cleanse your home, your body, your spirit. As you cleanse your home the cleansing of the others follows. Look to your thoughts as you clean, they are your clue.

Elder November 25 - December 23

Dark plots are hatched by those who should know better.

Those who should know better, are you. Or, more correctly, those parts of you and of all of us that are capable of self destruction. What are you doing and what are you thinking? This month is for reassessment. More particularly, "What are your motives?"
